Short stories about love – what more could we need? David Levithan writes so beautifully, heartbreakingly about queer love of all kinds. About meetings, about long-term relationships, about love that changes people’s worlds.
I’m a big fan of Levithan’s work – Two Boys Kissing is a stunning work which pairs the history of gay activism with the contemporary world, and Will Grayson Will Grayson, which he co-wrote with John Green, is charming and hopeful.
It a book which hurts, but it’s a joyful hurt. And the last track, a tribute to librarians which could have been twee and tongue-in-cheek is stunning and had me crying as I read and re-read it.
